Living Screen on Popps Ferry Road in Biloxi, Mississippi

TWG worked with Eley Guild Hardy Architects of Biloxi Mississippi to create a Living Screen facade to elevate the aesthetics of a highly-visible parking garage. EGH used a modified double-shot rectangular welded wire weave for the project: a 6" x 1" x 3" 10 gauge pattern in a Galfran wire that gives superior rust protection over standard pre-galvanized wire.

The designers also used a custom Hammertone color (Mississippi Blue) to match design elements on the adjacent Mississippi Coast Convention Center. TWG provided engineering assistance in creating the standoff brackets to meet the wind conditions at the site.

The Living Screen covers approximately 2,000 square feet on one elevation of the garage and was installed by Roy Anderson Corporation who also acted as the GC on the project.
